In partnership with Project Saltbox and Save America Movement, this is a nationwide, rapid-response network designed to alert Americans everywhere when one of Trump’s secret prisons tries to creep into their backyard. Featured on MSNOW’s Rachel Maddow, this campaign seeks to keep our country from becoming a police state.
We created a rapid-response fund for independent journalists who've drawn fire from the current administration. Our first announced beneficiaries were Don Lemon and Georgia Fort. We are committed to protecting journalists who are target by Trump for retribution.
DEFIANCE.org launched a historic coalition of local prosecutors across America who’ve banded together to charge federal officials when they cross the line. If the feds break a state law in your jurisdiction, a friendly DA somewhere is now taking notes. This is the “bat signal” for prosecutors, who are already charging federal agents who violate the Constitutional rights of Americans.
This campaign is aimed at U.S. military servicemembers, reminding them of a rule that already lives inside military law: troops are required to follow lawful orders — and required to refuse unlawful ones. In addition it offers resources for servicemembers who might find themselves on the receiving end of a command that crosses constitutional or legal lines.
